After a year of change, reinvention and a triumphant return to the live stage, The Howlers are back with Heavy – an album that captures resilience, confidence and creative freedom.

Written by frontman Adam Young, Heavy follows the band’s acclaimed independent debut What You’ve Got To Lose To Win It All. While that record explored grief and personal loss, Heavy is the sound of rebuilding. Created following a complete reimagining of the band, the album sees Young embracing a fresh start, reshaping The Howlers as a two-piece alongside drummer Toby Richards and delivering a record fuelled by renewed purpose and ambition.

Produced with long-time collaborator Chris Ostler (Black Honey), Heavy was created in an unconventional way. Rather than spending months in a traditional recording studio, Young and Ostler exchanged ideas remotely before bringing everything together, with Richards recording drums in the band’s rehearsal space. The result is an album that feels modern, powerful and unmistakably The Howlers.

Featuring the singles Night Crawling and You Can Be So Cruel, Heavy showcases a band that has emerged stronger than ever, blending driving alternative rock with infectious hooks, honest songwriting and a newfound confidence forged through experience.
