Mansun Retold is Paul Draper’s most ambitious solo project to date, revisiting and rebuilding key songs from Mansun’s catalogue with fresh perspective, depth, and emotional weight.

This Deluxe Hardback Book edition presents the project in its most complete form. Housed in a premium hardback book package, the set includes the Mansun Retold studio album on CD, a second CD of Stripped Back Versions, and a Blu-ray disc featuring high-resolution audio formats.

Recorded at The Loft Studios in Surrey, the album was co-produced with Paul “PDub” Walton (The Cure, U2, Björk, Massive Attack, Oasis) and features a string quartet led and arranged by Audrey Riley (Muse, Coldplay, Nick Cave). Drums are provided by Julian Fenton, Mansun’s original drummer, with Draper performing acoustic bass, lead and rhythm guitars, piano, and vocals.

Rather than revisiting the songs for nostalgia, Draper treats them as unfinished business — pieces that meant one thing in the ’90s and something entirely different now. The result is a deeply considered reimagining that connects past and present, offering long-time fans and new listeners a definitive version of Mansun Retold.
